NasionalIndonesia. "The number of foreign tourists in October 2018 has decreased compared to the previous month. Slightly decreased or 5.74% from the previous month," Suhariyanto said at BPS headquarters, Jakarta, Monday (03/12/2018).
The decline in the number of tourists entering Indonesia is also due to seasonal factors that occur every year in that month.

But if examined further, in October 2018 the Indonesian government held an international class event in Bali, namely the IMF-World Bank (WB) meeting which was able to attend more than 15,000 people.

"The biggest decline occurred at Sam Ratulangi Airport, Manado. So, because of seasonality, the movement is the same as in 2017, which was somewhat down in October. Then the second was Supadio Airport, Pontianak," he said.

Based on the entrance of air transport, the number of tourists passing through Bali's Ngurah Rai Airport also decreased by 7.20% (MtM), while YoY rose 11.01%.

Even so, the man who is familiarly called Kecuk revealed that the number of foreign tourists per October 2018 is still higher than the same period in 2017 and 2016.

"Compared to the previous year, 1.16 million people meant an increase of 11.24%," he said.
